Monster Energy Pro Circuit rider Austin Forkner had a big get off this weekend at Washougal. His crash was the exact same type that broke Trey Canards femur in 2011. Forkner was an exciting up-and-comer, who was expected to be a title contender his rookie year. However, due to a series of unfortunate crashes and injuries, his season was underwhelming at best. Forkner has shown signs of dominant speed, but just hasn’t been able to not end up on the ground each time. Hopefully, as he matures as a racer, he will be able to tighten things up and become the Pro Circuit’s number one guy. His first season hasn’t been a good one, but expect to see him in the top 3 in points next season.
